Who we teach
Special needs
We're a bike school, not a clinic. We help all kids learn to ride — including kids with special needs — by meeting your child where they are and working from there.
About half the kids who find us come with extra needs. That’s not a side program — it’s just how the school works: one patient instructor, no rigid checklist, a quiet parking lot, and a lesson that bends to the child in front of them. We teach kids 5 and up.
Who we’ve taught
We have helped students that have special needs like:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Dyspraxia
- PANDAS
- GAD
- Hearing or sight impairment
- Trouble with balance and coordination
If you’re not sure it’s a fit, give us a call.
How we make it work
The biggest help is it’s just 1:1 — one child, one instructor. We aren’t running a class against a clock. We can slow down, change bikes, skip a step, or just stop.
Lessons happen in quiet, controlled lots — closed school lots, not busy parks. That cuts the noise, the audience, and the surprise of a stranger rolling through.
We’ve taught kids who don’t use words much — or at all. That first phone call isn’t a formality. It’s how we get the lesson right for your child.
What we’re not
We’re a bike school, not a doctor’s office. We don’t diagnose, we don’t do therapy, and we don’t bill insurance — we teach kids to ride.
