Why should I take bike lessons from an instructor?

There are many benefits to taking bike lessons from an instructor, including:

  • Learning the basics of riding a bike safely and efficiently.
  • Overcoming any challenges you may be facing, such as a fear of falling or difficulty balancing.
  • Learning about different types of bikes and how to choose the right one for you.
  • Learning about bike maintenance and safety gear.
  • Getting personalized instruction and feedback from a qualified instructor.
What can I expect from bike lessons?

The content of bike lessons varies depending on the instructor and the student’s needs. However, most bike lessons cover the following topics:

  • Bike safety and awareness.
  • Basic bike handling skills, such as starting, stopping, and turning.
  • Advanced bike handling skills, such as riding in traffic and on hills.
  • Bike maintenance and repair.
Do I need to bring my own bike to bike lessons?
Generally, we use our bikes for total beginners because it often requires getting comfortable on smaller bikes first and then working towards finding the right sized bike, which is dependent on skill level and size.
What should I wear to bike lessons?
It is important to wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move around in easily. It is also a good idea to wear a helmet and other protective gear, such as knee and elbow pads. We can provide them to you if needed.
Am I too old to learn to ride a bike?
Absolutely not! It is never too late to learn to ride a bike. Bike instructors teach students of all ages and abilities.
What if I have special needs?
Our instructors can teach students with a variety of disabilities to ride a bike. If you have a disability, be sure to let your instructor know in advance so that they can make the necessary accommodations.
What if I am not in good physical condition?
Bike lessons are a great way to improve your physical fitness. However, it is important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts. If you have any concerns about your health, be sure to talk to your doctor before starting bike lessons.

Ukulele Lessons

What age is appropriate for starting ukulele lessons?
Most children can start learning the ukulele around the age of 4 or 5. It’s a great instrument for young beginners due to its small size and simple chord structures.
Do we need to purchase a ukulele before starting lessons?
Yes, it’s recommended to have a ukulele at home for your child to practice. If you’re unsure of what to buy, we can provide guidance on selecting the right size and type for your child.

Ukulele lessons are 30 minutes.
Do parents need to stay during the lessons?
It’s up to you! If parents want to stay, we have a waiting room in the studio with wifi.
How much practice is required outside of lessons?
Regular practice is key to progress. We recommend 10-15 minutes of practice each day for beginners. Consistency is more important than the length of each session.
